Oriental Medicine For Facial Rejuvenation
The facial condition is part of one’s physical and mental output. According to Oriental Medicine our outward appearance is reflective of our true, overall health condition; therefore treatment is geared towards affecting both the interior of the body as well as the exterior. Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine approaches the healing process for rejuvenation by influencing the body’s energetic flow of Qi and blood. It is a form of medicine that utilizes meridian pathways that either begins or ends on the face, and of which some have internal branches that travel to the face. Administering facial Acupuncture promotes collagen production, increases local blood flow and lymph circulation. The results show improvement in elasticity of facial muscles, smoother skin, reduction of wrinkles, lines or demarcations on the face and aims to generate an overall healthier complexion. In addition to addressing one’s facial aesthetics the underlying root cause of one’s aging process is treated, thereby not masking a condition but ridding the body of the true toxin, correcting the energetic imbalance, and ultimately restoring one’s health.

Oriental Medicine for Facial Rejuvenation seminar by Magnolia Goh is bringing focus back to the rapidly growing popularity of Acupuncture facelifts, facials, rejuvenation, cosmetic Acupuncture or whatever the new innovative name it is being given today. This Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation program will be geared towards staying true to Oriental Medicine by centering its attention on teaching practitioners to stick with the basics of diagnose the patient first and then follow through with application. The following is what one can expect in this workshop:

  • What Oriental Medicine can actually do for facial rejuvenation. It will be geared towards teaching a Licensed Practitioner on how to individually customize a facial rejuvenation treatment by properly reading the face and determining what meridians are involved, which have manifested onto their patient’s face and overall health of their body. Being able to do a facial diagnosis is crucial to facial Acupuncture treatments because it is the characteristics and the affected areas on the face that correspond to specific channel/organ systems that would need to be addressed in order to properly, effectively and safely perform this procedure.
  • How to use related Oriental Medicine diagnosis system for the face. Specific areas of the face represent certain channel/organ systems that are relative to the patient’s condition. The mouth is representative of the Spleen and Stomach channels, possibly indicating involvement of the digestive system. Puffiness and darkness under the eyes are indicative of the Kidney channel.
  • Special needling technique for Acupuncture facial treatment. Meridians and channel pathways have specific directional flow of Qi and Blood, which one needs to be aware of during the influencing of needling certain points on the face.
  • How to prescreen candidates for Facial Rejuvenation treatments, which means knowing important contraindications for each patient’s condition. While most of us, no matter what age, can benefit from this procedure, there exist some conditions that do not warrant this protocol.
  • How to treat appropriately with both internal and external herbs. Herbs also play a significant role in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture treatments. They have specific channel/organ systems that they influence, therefore can effectively address certain cases and conditions of our aging process and beauty concerns.
  • Recommendations of proper nutrition and diet that influences facial rejuvenation treatments. Oriental Medicine recognizes food as the first form of treatment to any health condition. Hence, one should eat the proper foods to affect his/her health.
  • Special facial exercises will be demonstrated that assist and help to extend the Acupuncture facial treatment. Learning these skills will enhance the treatment and teaches the patient self care.
  • What the realistic health benefits and the cosmetic benefits of facial rejuvenation treatments. Being able to offer this type of Acupuncture treatment will help to increase one’s patient load and help to expand their practice.
